A TEACHER AND A FATHER

The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires,” William Arthur Ward said about that 20 years ago. To be a teacher is easy but to be a great teacher is not easy because the great teacher has to make their students can learn about everything consciously or unconsciously.  Same as Mr. Suarnajaya who is like a father, shows me everything that I never know.
Mr. Suarnajaya is my Grammar teacher. He teaches me about all of grammar rules on literature. Mr. Suarnajaya is very smart in giving me an appropriate way in learning grammar which is very difficult to understand. He teaches me with all of patience that he has. He can also change my mood in learning grammar when I am so sleepy or bored. He will know if I feel so bored in studying grammar and directly he will give some jokes to make my friends and I laugh and ready to study grammar again. What he has done shows me that he is a funny person who can motivate his students in that way to learn everything again and again.
Mr. Suarnajaya is also a diligent lecturer who can come to his class 15 minutes before the meeting begun. Discipline is the important thing for him in learning process. Being discipline makes him success in everything. He appreciates students who can manage time well. He will not get angry if there are some students come late to his class. He will use his power as the leader of the classroom by noticing them not to being so late again. It shows me that he has strong characteristic in educating his students.
He gives me everything that I need as a teacher later on. He often shares his experiences to support his ideas about grammar or everything and I interested in learning grammar. He has ever shared about his experiences in studying English in Australia. He got his Ph.D. by hard working. He studies everything seriously because he knows that his family is waiting for him to come back to Bali with his success in his hand. He does everything as best as he can. From his experiences, I learn how to struggle and do everything as best as I can.
He is so handsome when he comes to class which his neat appearance that is way some students follow his dressing. He is always wearing neat shirt or Batik shirt in different color, belt, black trouser and appropriate shoes to go to campus. It can make him sparkling. As I know, Wisnu, Yudis, Didit, Tugus follow his dressing. He is little bit old but looks younger than his age. He has short black straight hair which become white. He has round and black eyes which can make all of his students pay attention on him.
Out side the course, Mr. Suarnajaya is very friendly and humble like when he is in the classroom teaching me all about grammar. He delivers his positive aura with his smile. His smile has a deep meaning in showing his characteristic wherever he is.  He always brings and hangs his keys in his belt. It is funny to see Mr. Suarnajaya in that style. May be that are not just a car key, but also a home key, a fence key, a burglar-proof safe key. All of that shows me that he is a unique person.
Mr. Suarnajaya is different from the other lecturers. There is a lecturer who can not be so friendly when he or she meets with his or her students outside the classroom. But Mr. Suarnajaya is different. He is not like that. He is also very kind in helping his students in knowing something that his student never knows.
He feels like a father for me. A father who can take care his daughter and teach his daughter about everything without think about what will he get if he does so. Inside of my heart, Mr. Suarnajaya is not only a teacher but also a father who teaches me many things that I have never known.
